We at Hewar Gallery, are extremely delighted to bring legendary Arab artist Bahram Hajou to the region. Bahram's multi-faceted paintings are strongly determined by the complexity of his life and work. Bahram's gentle strokes and original colouring of the paintings portray tales of beauty and love, fear and solitude, forgiveness and understanding, anxiety and furtiveness, freedom and dependence.
This is only the first step in our long trip to increase awareness levels about already well-known Middle Eastern artists and it shows our commitment to promoting the very rich cultural heritage of this region.
A cosmopolitan blend of tradition and modernity, Dubai offers a variety of libraries, art galleries, theatres, and museums. It also possesses the infrastructure needed to support the cultural vision of its leaders. As the emirate evolves further it is quickly developing a reputation as the cultural hub of the region.
Our aim is to organise contemporary arts exhibitions featuring artists from all over the world, with particular emphasis upon those whose paintings and sculptures are influenced by the heritage, culture and environment of the Arab world. We will also strive to put the spotlight upon those artists from the region who have moved from their original country to study abroad and show how their art reflects their experiences.
